All payments are 100% tax deductible and will go directly to the IWIL-CHGC Fund at CFLL. CFLL assists in decisions on how much to award as grants for the year and will keep the balance invested with a growth focus for future giving. The Community Health Giving Circle (CHGC) is happy to announce its 2024 Health Grant Recipients! Springfield Noon Lions — $2,500 for its Pre-School Sight and Sound program providing free vision and hearing screening as well as eyeglasses and hearing aids free to families who can't afford them. Prairie Center Against Sexual Assault — $600 to provide assistance for transportation to enable clients to access counseling and assistance. Washington Street Mission — $4,500 for its Supportive Employment Program which provides assistance finding a job, paid training, transportation, uniforms and job coaching for people at risk of homelessness. We will be celebrating the successful completion of this year’s grant giving cycle at a Grant Reception to be held at Arlington's on October 22 from 5:30-7:30 pm. The grant recipients will be in attendance and will have the opportunity to speak about their programs. In addition to CHGC Members, all other interested IWIL members are invited to attend, along with spouses or significant others. The Reception will be free to CHGC members. There will be a fee of $25 for all others. CHGC members wishing to attend must RSVP directly to Cara Tabatabai at [email protected]. All others must register at www.iwil.biz by October 8th. |
