Practicing "Extra Grace Day" to others and ourselves

How can we intentionally extend grace to others and ourselves, especially in busy and achievement-oriented lives? There are a few strategies to understand each other better and constructively engage in a difficult conversation.

Do you feel overwhelmed, tired, and stressed? Perhaps you feel resentful at times after taking care of others around you. Let's extend grace to ourselves and permit ourselves to recharge in a simple yet effective method that has helped transform many lives.​

• Describe key strategies to reach a shared understanding
• Identify ways to incorporate how to renew your mind, body, and spirit

About our Speaker

Sookyung Suh, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in Medical Education, Director of Organizational Change, Equity transformation strategist, and Director of the Accelerate leadership development program at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She is an organizational change management and human performance expert and scholar with two decades of experience researching and implementing organizational change in healthcare providers, manufacturing, and government. Over ten years, she has served as an organizational change management leader in management consulting firms before joining SIU School of medicine in 2018.

She earned her master’s degree in Instructional Systems and Human Performance Technology from Florida State University and her Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from the same institute. She practices leadership development with her two young daughters and dabbles in entrepreneurship by making natural skincare products.

Our luncheons are open to all IWIL members and their guests. Registration is $22 for members and guests through October 14; $27 on or after October 15. Online Registration will close on October 18 and walk-ins are welcome at the event!
